iPad Air
iPad Air買いました。初代iPadからの買い替えです。なにしろ初代iPadはiOS7どころかiOS6すら動きませんでしたから、以前からずっと買い替えようと思って新モデルの発表を待っていました。
当初は、買い替えるなら軽いiPad Miniにしようかと思い、MiniのRetina化を待ってました。期待通りRetinaのMiniが発表されましたが、発売はしばらく後、それも品薄が予想されるとの噂。
同時発表のiPadは大幅な軽量化がされ、初代iPadと比べると実に約半分の重さ。発売当日にショップに行ったところ在庫は十分あるようだし、軽いなら画面が大きい方がいいよね、ということで購入決定。
これでAir Playでミラーリングもできるし、時計も使えるし、通信も処理速度も速くなり、iWorkも無料で手に入ってiPhoneでも使えるようになりました。
I bought iPad Air. It replaces my old 1st generation iPad. On 1st gen iPad, iOS7 does not work, even iOS6 does not work, so I have been frustrated and longing for the new model.
At first, I was more interested in iPad Mini, which is far lighter than iPad, and waiting for iPad Mini Retina. As expected, it was announced, but not available later this month. I also heard a rumour that it will be in short of supply.
iPad Air announced at the same time has a significant improvement in the weight. Comparing with 1st gen iPad, it's weight is almost half. Amazing. When I visited the shop on the day of launch, there were enough stocks. If the weight is light enough, bigger screen should be better for me. Then I decided to buy it.
Now I am happy with Air Play mirroring, clocks, faster communication & processing, and I can use iWork for free on both iPad and iPhone.
Dragon Standby
中秋節のパレードの準備中の子供たち（たぶん）。残念ながらパレードは見ずに帰っちゃいましたが。
Kids were preparing for the parade of mid-autumn festival (probably). Unfortunately, we went home without seeing the parade.
Mid Autumn Chinese Temple
中秋節のチャイナタウンはライトアップがきれいですが、お寺の中も非常に豪華で美しかったです。
Chinatown in mid-autumun festival was beautiful with lanterns. Inside the temple was also very gorgeous and beautiful.
Panda in River Safari
シンガポールに初めてやって来たパンダくん。リバーサファリという新しくオープンした動物園にいます。
He is the first panda coming to Singapore. He is in newly opened zoo called River Safari.
Bigger Merlion
マリーナベイにある有名な子じゃなくて、セントーサ島にある巨大なマーライオン。37mあるんですって。シンガポールには全部で５体のマーライオンがいます。
This is not the famous guy at Marina Bay, but the giant Merlion at Sentosa island. It's 37m tall. There are in total 5 Merlions in Singapore.
Kusu Island
マリーナベイを出航して船で向かった先はクス島と呼ばれる小さな島。亀がたくさんいる、竜宮城のモデルのような所。リゾートには向かないけど、２〜３時間の小旅行にぴったり。
The ship left Marina Bay was headed to Kusu Island, where is full of tortoises. Not like a resort, but just good for 2-3 hours trip.
MBS from Offshore
船に乗って沖合から撮影したマリーナベイサンズ。右手にある観覧車がシンガポールフライヤーで、その手前に見えるのがガーデンズ・バイ・ザ・ベイ。撮って出しの写真はちょっと霞がかかったようだったので、RAW現像で補正してます。

This is the iconic building of Singapore now, Marina Bay Sands (MBS).
Get (Re)Started!
afainuです。2013年4月よりシンガポールに住んでいます。
2009年1月から2013年1月まで4年間、afainu.actionというブログを書いていました。海外赴任に伴う多忙のため3月で前ブログを停止しましたが、来星して半年が過ぎ、こちらでの生活も落ち着いてきたのでブログを再開することにします。
そのまま前のブログを更新し続けてもよかったのですが、心機一転、新しいブログを立ち上げることにしました。
この新ブログでは、私の撮影した写真の掲載がメインになります。時々はまとまった文章も書こうと思います。そして、出来る限り英語での文章も併記するつもりです。
では、これからafainu:singをよろしくお願いします。

Hi, this is afainu, living in Singapore since April 2013. I was writing my blog named afainu.action for 4 years, but stopped it upon the international relocation. Now, after 6 months, I decided to restart my blog by launching the new one!
Here I will mainly post my photos, and also post some of my thoughts once in a while. A challenge is to put some English like this for non-Japanese readers. Hope you enjoy my blog!
